Overview and Eligibility for Settlement Benefits

This website provides information regarding the settlement of a class action lawsuit entitled Phillip Baldassari v. Suburban Cable TV Co., Inc. that is currently pending in the Court of Common Pleas, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Civil Division, Case No. 97-19055 (the “Settlement”).

The lawsuit involves claims by Plaintiff Phillip Baldassari that late fees and/or administrative fees charged by Suburban Cable TV Co., and later Comcast of Southeast Pennsylvania, LLC (collectively, “Comcast”), to delinquent cable television subscribers in Pennsylvania were excessive and unlawful. Comcast has denied liability and raised certain defenses to these claims, which if sustained by the Court, would have minimized or defeated any recovery for the Settlement Class. This Settlement is made without any admission of liability and prior to any adjudication of the merits of the case.

If you are (i) a former Suburban Cable TV Co., Inc. cable television subscriber in Pennsylvania or (ii) a former or current Comcast of Southeast Pennsylvania, LLC cable television subscriber in Pennsylvania, and you paid a Late Fee in connection with your cable television service between October 10, 1991 and July 30, 2003 (the “Settlement Class”), you may be eligible for benefits under the Settlement.
